10 things to do on DID Awareness Day March 5th

1 Spread awareness online. Let’s get the #DIDAwareness &c. Trending!
By retweeting, reblogging, liking, sharing and commenting on posts spreading awareness. You could also use #DIDAwarenessDay #BreakTheDIDStigma #DIDOSDD &  #WeTooUse a fake account to protect your identity if needed. Twitter @Plural_Events will provide a continuous stream of new infographics, meme’s and pictures throughout the day for you to love and reblog. Please feel free to also create your own! Or look back for your favorites and reshare/reupload them! The facebook page @pluralevents will also upload throughout the day!

2 Meet up with your local trauma/DID support group. Talk with the group facilitator about the possibilities of highlighting dissociative disorders, and see our suggestions in the ”10 things support groups can do during Plural Events”

3 Make or buy Awareness posters and/or flyers to put in your therapist office, ask permission.

4 Join some new Plural or mental health communities (on Facebook, Discord or Tumblr/Reddit, for example) and talk about DID (awareness) in those communities. Even though this is an established date & event, many people still don’t know (or remember) that it’s here every year on March 5th.

5 Create a blog post, video, podcast, art &c. to spread awareness about DID/OSDD &c. The day is for raising awareness of trauma-caused plurality, and if the whole plural community helps spread awareness we will all be stronger together.

6 It’s also a perfect day to reach out to non-co-aware others on the inside and/or to give some others time out, for example to do their favorite activity or to create & share their own awareness posts.

7 Don’t forget to share a few of your favorite educational DID youtube videos, articles, podcasts, &c. as well either with Plural friends and/or online!

8 Promote the FREE & ONLINE Plural Positivity World Conference March 30th – April 1st

9 Give some shoutouts and support to those in the community who need a hand-up or who inspire you.

10 Volunteer: find someone new to share something that works for you& or offer to help a content creator in the community with correcting transcripts or making more of our community materials accessible, or comment on some old blog posts that need to be updated or boosted.

Hello there I am so grateful I found your web site, I really found you by error, while I was looking on Bing for something else, Anyways I am here now and would just like to say kudos for a fantastic post and a all round enjoyable blog (I also love the theme/design), I don’t have time to read through it all at the moment but I have book-marked it and also added in your RSS feeds, so when I have time I will be back to read a great deal more, Please do keep up the superb work.
