Volunteers
The Plural Association is the first and only by Plurals, for Plurals NGO Nonprofit organization.
We are grassroots, peer and volunteer-led, which means that everyone on our team volunteers (albeit we hope to have paid positions one day) and all our volunteers are lived experienced Plurals and peers themselves.
If you are Plural and want to volunteer, you’ve come to the right place.

Listening to the worries and stories of Plurals and giving back by supporting Plurals is a rewarding experience.
Volunteering can give you& the opportunity to try something new, gain experience, develop skills, improve your career prospects, build confidence and meet new people.
You& will join a dynamic team of other Plural volunteers, where you can not only get support but also build long term friendships with other Plurals.
Training
Before you& can work as a volunteer for The Plural Warmline, you& are first expected to follow our training. We provide our training(s) for free to all plurals who sign up as volunteers. All that is required to follow the training, is a device with a working internet connection. You& do have to complete the training but there is no time requirement to finish it, to hopefully make it accessible to many plurals. If you have questions or concerns, feel free to let us know in the sign up form, or contact us upfront.
Acceptance
We send standardized acceptance or denial letters, all decisions are made together, by the The Plural Association leadership team.
After you& have completed your training, we ask you& to fill in a sign up form if you& have decided that you& want to become volunteers for The Plural Association. After this a member of the TPA staff will contact you& to schedule an online appointment. In this appointment you& get to introduce yourselves, ask your& questions and discuss your& concerns. You& roleplay a warmline call and the staff member will go over your& training test results with you&.
Contract
If both the staff member and you& think it’s a match, we will send you& a contract that you& have to send back signed. Only after this contract is signed can we give you access to the volunteer member area and can you& begin to accept calls and chats for the plural warmline.
