Introduction: Connecting the Global Plural Community

The Plural Positivity World Conference (PPWC) 2023 is just around the corner, and we’re excited to invite Plurals, friends, and therapists to join us in this extraordinary event. This annual online conference aims to connect the global Plural community by providing a safe space to share experiences, learn from one another, and build lasting relationships. This year, we’re offering even more sessions, languages, and engaging content, all designed to help empower Plurals and make a positive impact on their lives.

Emotional Value: The Power of Shared Experiences

At the heart of the PPWC is the power of shared experiences. Through insightful presentations, panel discussions, and virtual meetups, participants can connect with others who understand their journey and provide empathetic support. This unique opportunity allows Plurals to bond, share stories, and uplift one another, creating a sense of belonging and unity that transcends geographical boundaries.

A Diverse Lineup of Keynote Speakers

PPWC 2023 boasts an impressive lineup of keynote speakers, including Dr. Jamie+ Marich, Obscura, Crystals Multifaceted, and Katie Keech as the closing speaker. These experienced professionals will cover a wide range of Plurality topics, providing valuable insights and thought-provoking discussions to deepen your understanding of the Plural experience.

Panel Session: Self-Diagnosed Systems

In a groundbreaking panel session, self-diagnosed systems will share their perspectives on why they chose or felt forced to self-diagnose with DID or OSDD. This open and honest conversation will shed light on the complexities and challenges faced by those who must navigate their diagnoses without formal recognition or support.

Multilingual Sessions and Meetups

To ensure accessibility and inclusivity, this year’s conference features over 25 sessions in English, French, German, and Spanish. Additionally, we’re hosting multiple virtual meetups, allowing participants to connect with others in their preferred language and create meaningful connections within the global Plural community.

Collaborations and Ongoing Projects

The Plural Association is dedicated to building strong partnerships and working on projects that benefit the Plural community. We have recently collaborated with Partielles, they are starting the first Belgian nonprofit for Plurals, to support their work and help them achieve their goals. Partielles created the free 70-page “Allies of Plurals” magazine in both French and English, which has already made a significant impact on many Plurals.

In addition, TPA has founded The Refractory, a Plural Think Tank for clinicians, in collaboration with Katie Keech. This project aims to bring together Plural clinicians to foster understanding, develop resources, and better serve the Plural community. By showcasing these collaborations and ongoing projects, we demonstrate TPA’s dedication to empowering Plurals and providing valuable resources for the community.

Success Story: Jarvis Finds Community and Purpose

One of the many inspiring stories to emerge from our community is that of Jarvis, who attended a meetup during our anniversary event last year. Jarvis found connection and support among other Plurals and was inspired to get involved with TPA. They began volunteering, helping with weekly group text chats, and eventually created their own website about Plurality in German. This year, Jarvis will present at the conference in both German and English, demonstrating the incredible growth and opportunities that can come from being part of the Plural community.

Inviting Friends and Therapists

We believe that the PPWC experience should be shared with friends, family members, and therapists who play an essential role in supporting Plurals. By inviting them to the conference, they’ll gain valuable insights into the Plural experience and learn how to better provide compassionate care and understanding.
